We are in AWE with the amazing things happening in Richmond this Valentine’s Day. Here are some events that you get involved with this VDAY.

This march is part of One Billion Rising RVA event, which will be held at the Richmond Coliseum on February 14th. One Billion Rising RVA is part of a global campaign to end violence against women and children.

Please join us on this march on February 14th at 8AM, at 6th & Broad street, to spread the word about this amazing event and to demand an end to violence against women.

If you feel moved to spread the word, but can’t join us for the entire march, join us at the starting point and we will get you some materials to pass out in a high traffic area.

Happy Love Times SONG Family, Friends, and Loved Ones

We to invite you to join SONG for a Valentine’s Day Celebration at University Richmond Downtown (Lower Level), 626 E. Broad Street from 5:30-8 pm,

Happy Love Times SONG Family, Friends, and Loved OnesWe to invite you to join SONG for a Valentine’s Day Celebration at University Richmond Downtown (Lower Level), 626 E. Broad Street from 5:30-8 pm,
As SONG and the Southern Movement Alliance (see www.southtosouth.org) wrap up our People’s First 100 Days Campaign, we join hundreds of southerners, LGBTQ people and allies, in celebrating our love for our southern freedom movement.

This will be a chance for SONG members, member-leaders, the broader LGBTQ community, and our allies to come together to build relationships and share our love for one another while celebrating our movements and our visions for justice and liberation for all people.

We will be making Valentine cards that speak to our love for social justice and movement-building. We will use our handwritten valentine cards to create a “clothesline” with our collective vision of love for our people and our social justice movements. From this, we hope that the clothesline will be displayed in Richmond community spaces as a way to reflect on our love and passion throughout the year.

We hope to see you there!

Food, drinks and fun decorations for folks to enjoy will all be provided by SONG!
